I work as an Assistant Physicist in the Photon Sciences division and primarily function as a Beamline Scientist for the Inner Shell Spectroscopy (ISS) 08-ID beamline of NSLS-II. I support the user operations of the beamline and development of hardware and software capabilities. Additionally, I develop advanced spectroscopy program at ISS, focusing on delivering high-resolution X-ray absorption and X-ray emission spectroscopic capabilities to the user community.

Research Activities

I believe that seeing things in action is the best approach to understanding of how the universe works. Hence, my work focuses on understanding dynamic phenomena in a wide variety of systems, ranging from small molecules and nanomaterials to proteins and synthetic macromolecules. Often, the function of materials relies on a network of interactions spanning multiple scales in time and space, requiring characterization from multiple points of view. To achieve that goal and develop mechanistic models of the events happening on the molecular level, I appoach the scientific problems using my expertise in scattering and spectroscpic tools, advanced data analyitcs, and instrumentation development.
