I am a Distinguished Physicist in the Physics Department. I was the Assistant Chair of the BNL Physics Department from 2010-2026, the sPHENIX Project Director from 2014-2023, the PHENIX Ops Director from 2001-2014 and a member of the PHENIX/sPHENIX group for 35 years. I do research in Relativistic Heavy Ion physics and R&D on Nuclear Physics detector technologies.
