My research interests focus on Quantum-Chromodynamcis (QCD) at high energy and high density. I am in particular interested in understanding how QCD jets, as coherent quantum systems produced in high energy collisions, behave in the presence of hot QCD matter. The goal is to gain insight on the non-equilibrium QCD dynamics and probe the transport properties of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP). In this context,  I have been investigating recently novel emergent phenomena in such open quantum systems, namely, turbulent energy loss, non-local anomalous diffusion and color decoherence. These phenomena may be probed in heavy ion collisions at RHIC and the LHC.

I am also interested in the structure of the proton and nuclei at high energy  characterized by a dense and coherent system of gluons. An outstanding question I am investigating is how the transition from a weakly interacting system of partons to saturated matter of soft gluons takes place. Probing this new regime of QCD is one of the main objectives of the future EIC.
