Toto's activities focus on data analysis and software development for the FAst-physics System TEstbed & Research (FASTER) Project. The multi-institutional project aims to evaluate and improve parameterizations of fast processes (those involving clouds, precipitation, and aerosols) in global climate models using a combination of observations and simulations from numerical prediction models, single-column models, cloud-resolving models, large-eddy simulations, and full global climate models. Data analyses involve diverse measurements that emphasize ARM remote sensing and in situ data, which are augmented with observations from other surface monitoring networks and satellites. Toto’s work in the FASTER Data Analysis and Integration Team involves providing data analysis, producing quality controlled and value added data products that fill important gaps, and developing data visualization tools that facilitate FASTER testbed and model evaluation.
