Ed Cheswick is a Quality Engineer for the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) Project.  He is responsible for the generation, implementation, and maintenance of QA systems and procedures, including design control, process control, discrepancy reporting, calibration, and receiving inspection. He will review and approve SOWs and specifications, specify and enforce supplier quality requirements, perform pre-award surveys and surveillance, and ensure corrective actions are developed as needed.

Ed joined Brookhaven National Laboratory in 2008, as a Quality Engineer on the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II) Project, a position he held through the completion of the project in 2015 and continued for the next seven years of facility operations.  

Prior to joining Brookhaven National Laboratory, Ed had over 20 years of experience in quality engineering and operations in several industries, including manufacturing of high-tech electronic systems for the military aircraft industry, and the manufacturing of electro-mechanical devices for the military, railway and commercial aircraft industries.

Ed earned his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, NY.
