Lily De Luca is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New York with over 8 years of experience in designing and managing energy infrastructure projects. At BNL’s NSLS-II facility, Lily is currently the NEXT-II project’s Level 2 Control Account Manager for the ARI & SXN soft x-ray beamlines. Her responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the beamlines valued at $41M USD. Lily coordinates work plans for project execution, verifying progress of the tasks assigned to scientists, engineers, technicians, and contractors. She also helps develop and implement project documentation, cost controls and milestone schedules, assessing project performance and forecasting potential deviations from the project plan. Previously, Lily designed, managed, and delivered projects for major New York City gas main replacement programs. She oversaw the new construction of complex gas transmission projects in the New York City metropolitan area and served as a liaison between engineering, construction and project management groups, advising on engineering design and construction issues.
Education
Lily received a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Earth Systems Science from The City College of New York and earned her Master’s degree in Project Management at Boston University.
