General Lab Information

Brookhaven Lab enforces nationwide identification requirements for federal site access. Anyone 18 years of age and older must have a valid REAL ID, Enhanced ID, Passport or one of these alternate forms of ID to gain access to the Laboratory. Age Exception

Main Gate Registration

This academy is not open to the public. Participants must submit a BNL Main Gate registration form in order to gain access to the laboratory.

  • Today is Friday, June 12, 2026.
  • Registration closes on Friday, November 20, 2026.
  • Non-U.S. citizens must complete a Brookhaven Lab Guest Form by November 6, 2026 and be approved in the Brookhaven Lab Guest Information System (GIS) before they can participate in this event or use Brookhaven Lab's onsite accommodations. Completing the Brookhaven Lab Guest Form does not automatically register you for this event. You will be directed to the appropriate form once you have completed the event registration.
  • U.S. citizens who are planning to use BNL's onsite accommodations must also complete a Brookhaven Lab Guest Form by November 6, 2026 and be approved in the BNL Guest Information System (GIS).
  • All visitors to the Laboratory must follow the requirements for Identification Documents (ID).
  • MINORS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ATTEND.
