Vocalist Ginger Costa-Jackson to Perform at Brookhaven Lab, May 19

UPTON, NY — Mezzo-soprano prodigy Ginger Costa-Jackson, a 23-year-old graduate of the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, and winner of numerous international awards, will perform at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory on Wednesday, May 19, at noon in Berkner Hall. Sponsored by Brookhaven Science Associates, the concert is free and open to the public. All visitors to the Laboratory age 16 and over must bring a photo I.D.
Her performance will offer an hour of opera and Broadway favorites titled “Don’t Mess with this Mezzo!” Selections will include Cherubino, Carmen, and La Cenerentola arias, the music of Kurt Weill, and show tunes from Carousel, Cats and more. This is the third season that Costa-Jackson has appeared on the Metropolitan Opera stage.
