Zhite Yu Chosen to Deliver First Annual Fanyi Zhao Memorial Lecture
August 1, 2025

Zhite Yu (left) and Brookhaven Physics Dept. Chair Hong Ma.
Zhite Yu has distinguished himself as an extraordinary early career theorist for his novel approach to studying jet substructures and polarization phenomena. A notable example is his proposal of new observables to extract Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) through single diffractive hard exclusive processes. His innovative theoretical methods, and his work on GPDs, exclusive QCD factorization, and collider phenomenology align closely with the mission of the EIC Theory Institute at Brookhaven National Laboratory and the scientific legacy of Fanyi Zhao.
