The mission of the Technical Division is to provide the engineering and technical capabilities needed to advance the scientific mission of the Fundamental Interactions and Particles Directorate. The Division delivers accelerator systems and supporting infrastructure while providing lifecycle stewardship from design through commissioning and long-term operation. A primary focus is the successful execution of the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), while also providing engineering and technical support for existing accelerator systems and broader Directorate needs. The Division fulfills this mission through disciplined project execution and responsible stewardship of resources, with a strong commitment to safety and quality as well as collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence.
