DOE's 'Women @ Energy' Series: Call for Nominations

Women @ Energy series

The Women @ Energy series features profiles of outstanding women in science, technology, engineering, and math.

The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Economic Impact and Diversity has requested nominations for its Women @ Energy series, which features profiles of outstanding women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Women at Brookhaven Lab who are interested in sharing the stories of their careers in STEM, along with advice and inspiration for others to explore a future in STEM, could be featured in series online, and in a book scheduled to be published in print and online in the summer of 2014.

By sharing profiles and stories, the Women @ Energy series showcases the mission-critical work in which women in STEM careers are actively engaged across the DOE complex. The series also offers role models for women and girls who are underrepresented in these fields. More than 170 women have been featured in the series to date, including seven from Brookhaven Lab.

Women at all points of their careers with an interest in role modeling and mentoring others in STEM are encouraged to apply.

Nominations should include the candidate's name and department, email address, and a short bio with a brief description of current work.

Submit nominations by emailing Joe Gettler of the Media & Communications Office by noon on Monday, May 19.
