Abstract Submission Guidelines

The instructions below will guide you through the abstract submission process.

New complete research is strongly encouraged for submission; however, previously-published work or work-in-progress may be submitted, but will not be published in the proceedings. If your work has previously been published, indicate in your abstract. Also, indicate below if you prefer a talk or poster presentation. Decisions will be announced on Tuesday, May 14, 2019; there are only limited slots for talks, all other acceptances will be for posters. Please use the form below to submit your extended abstract.

How to submit your paper

  • All papers must be submitted using the following IEEE Proceeding template: Microsoft Word (US letter) or LaTex
  • Conference talk papers should be 10 pages for publication in an IEEE online proceedings.
  • Submit your accepted research paper no later than August 30, 2019.

Accepted Poster Paper Submission (optional)

We invite you to submit unpublished work to the NYSDS 2019 Poster Program. The poster program will highlight ongoing research and late breaking topics. The poster session will allow authors to meet and discuss their work one on one with conference attendees.

How to submit your final paper

  • Conference poster papers should be 2-4 pages for publication in an IEEE online proceedings.
  • Note: Posters should not be larger than 48"x36".
  • Submit your accepted poster paper no later than August 30, 2019.

You will receive an on-screen confirmation immediately after the successful submission of your accepted poster paper submission (optional) and a separate email confirmation.

Important Dates

Tuesday, May 7, 2019 Deadline to submit an abstract for a research talk/paper (1-2 pages) or poster (1 page).
Tuesday, May 14, 2019 Notification of acceptance for a research talk/paper or poster presetation.
Jun 11, 2019 Registration closes.
Friday, August 30, 2019 Deadline to submit a final research paper (10 pages) or poster paper (2-4 pages) for publication in an IEEE online proceedings. Submission of final papers is optional.
