Welcome Daniel Salatto, C2QA Project Coordinator

Dan Salatto

Dan Salatto

We are pleased to welcome Dan Salatto as C2QA's new Project Coordinator!

Dan will collaborate on and lead efforts in Center project administration and operations. He has already begun to contribute and is working with C2QA Chief Operations Officer Kimberly McGuire and Center Thrust and Sub-Thrust leaders to update the Center’s Annual Plan through FY25. Interestingly, Dan’s background includes research science (Ph.D. Chemical & Molecular Engineering, Stony Brook University). His move into the operations side of quantum research is a win for C2QA!

Dan's analytical skills and science background will enable him to deeply engage with our Center members to aid us in articulating our research impact to our stakeholders.

Contributions and Impact

As a recently minted professional having obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical & Molecular Engineering from Stony Brook University (Advisor: Dr. Tad Koga), Dan brings a wealth of experience in materials science (with a focus on block copolymer self-assembly and engineering biomaterial surface properties), in research operations, and as a user at Brookhaven Lab’s Center for Functional Nanomaterials (CFN). Dan is rapidly acclimating to C2QA’s robust operational objectives & ongoing projects, building relationships with team members, and demonstrating a keen understanding of the center's goals and objectives.

Details

Dan is an avid enthusiast of both Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum research!

He's fascinated by the potential of these emerging fields to revolutionize various industries, from materials science to healthcare, and eager to connect his technical knowledge to support operational efficiency.
