Christian Atariguana is a PPS Electrical Engineer in the Accelerator Division, responsible for Personnel Protection Systems across experimental beamlines. He ensures all safety systems operate reliably and meet the highest standards of personnel protection.
Christian’s expertise includes Photon Shutter Controls, HMI development, and programming with Allen-Bradley PLCs. He designs control schemes, electrical schematics, and functional specifications, and troubleshoots, tests, and optimizes hardware and software to maintain system performance and safety.
Prior to joining the Accelerator Division, Christian worked with an Electromagnetic Security Controls Engineer, gaining experience in secure access systems and controls engineering.
He is committed to maintaining secure, high-performance systems that protect personnel and support mission-critical operations.
