As an Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer with the Accelerator Controls Team at NSLS-II, I specialize in the complete lifecycle of control systems for critical accelerator components such as vacuum and power supply systems. My work involves the design, development, and maintenance of these systems, ensuring their reliable operation. This includes deploying and managing EPICS IOCs, creating intuitive user interfaces with CSS and Phoebus, and configuring essential services like the archive appliance and alarm systems.

Research Activities

Previously, I contributed to the ITER project from Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), where I developed and commissioned PLC and EPICS-based I&C systems for high-power RF sources (Gyrotrons). My experience there covered a wide range of subsystems, including cooling manifolds, High voltage & DC power supplies, and vacuum controls, utilizing Siemens PLC technologies. I also worked on X-ray diagnostics systems for I&C system development of various detectors such as Pilatus and SDD X-ray detectors. My technical expertise bridges the gap between diverse hardware and software to build reliable, integrated control systems that keep complex scientific experiments running smoothly."
