Erik is a Research Scientist in the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine. He is the resident scientist for the XFP (17-BM) CWRU Partner beamline at the NSLS-II, where he focuses on enabling access to the synchrotron X-ray footprinting technique to understand structure and dynamics of biomolecules in solution. He also maintains an interest in understanding the structure and function of metal sites in biology using synchrotron X-ray absorption and emission spectroscopy.
