I am an ambitious, hard-working, and driven professional with a steadfast commitment to overcoming challenges. I excel in goal setting and possess a proven track record of success in project management within the realms of construction, infrastructure, and facilities. In my current role, I have had the privilege of overseeing the infrastructure systems of the sPHENIX detector. Throughout this period, I have effectively built and led teams, fostering staff development at every phase of the projects I've been entrusted with.

Expertise

As an engineering manager for the infrastructure team at sPHENIX, a cutting-edge collider accelerator project, I have demonstrated proficiency in successfully managing intricate and dynamic projects. The sPHENIX detector, comparable to a two-story house, functions as a colossal 3D digital camera, capturing an impressive 15,000 particle collisions per second. In my role, I have navigated the challenges of working on a project with a continually evolving scope, particularly in collaboration with physicists and subsystem owners from around the world. My journey with sPHENIX began with addressing communication gaps and uncertainties in the detector infrastructure projects. I facilitated effective communication by creating a live interface document that streamlined interactions with subsystem owners. This document also formed the basis for defining the scope of work for various infrastructure projects. I meticulously built timelines for each project and updated the program manager's structure to ensure efficiency and adherence to deadlines. I spearheaded the team in implementing substantial enhancements to infrastructure controls and monitoring. This encompassed the successful deployment of a SCADA system in the control room, as well as the integration of a historian system and open network communication protocols. These measures guaranteed seamless data exchange with other support groups, enabling comprehensive data capture and logging

Awards & Recognition

Overall, my leadership has been instrumental in keeping the infrastructure team consistently ahead of schedule and aligning our work seamlessly with the evolving demands of the sPHENIX project. In recognition of my efforts during the project's execution, I was honored with the 2023 BNL Pinnacle Award for Engineering.
