Expertise

Sue Minkoff is Chair of the Applied Mathematics Department within the Computing and Data Sciences Directorate at BNL. Prior to coming to BNL, she spent 25 years in academia (first at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and then at the University of Texas at Dallas). She is a computational and applied mathematician with expertise in a variety of areas including inverse problems, uncertainty quantification, AI/ML, digital twins modeling, as well as low-rank tensor denoising and completion. She has worked on application problems primarily related to geosciences and optics and photonics.
