Ty Burg

Ty Burg is a Senior Technical Specialist in the Electrical Engineering Group at the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II) at Brookhaven National Laboratory. He supports the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems throughout NSLS-II.

Prior to joining Brookhaven, Ty served as a Ch-53E Avionics Technician in the United States Marine Corps and held multiple technical positions in aerospace and defence contracting companies. His experience includes electrical system integration, panel fabrication, equipment maintenance, controls, diagnostics, and technical support for complex electromechanical systems.

Ty works closely with engineers, technicians, and operations staff to support NSLS-II's mission of delivering world-class scientific research capabilities to users from around the globe.
