I earned my Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from IEE, CAS in 2005. I have started my research work on applied superconductivity from Chinese Academy of Sciences as an associate professor.
Since 2008, I joined GE Healthcare for the development of next generation MRI. I joined GE Research Center (Niskayuna, NY) in 2014 to continue my research on electromagnetics and superconducting magnets. I just joined Brookhaven National Lab in April 2023.

Expertise
- Superconducting Magnets Design
- Normal Magnets Design
- Quench Protection Design
- Electrical and Cryogenic Testing
- Charged Particles Simulation
Research Activities
Before joing BNL, I mainly worked on 1.5T, 3T and 7T low cryogen superconducting MRI magnet design, simulation and final testing. I also worked on superconducting generator design and superconducting/ cryogenics test facility’s design recently.
In addition to superconducting magnet design, I also worked on electron beam simulation and normal bending/focus magnets design used for additive manufacturing and X-ray tubes.
