Intro to Measurement

Students collect and analyze data to determine why standardized measuring tools are used in science and engineering. Small groups measure the length of an object using various non-standard and standard measuring tools and compare the results.

Vocabulary: length, ruler, standard unit, temperature, volume, weight

Session Information:  This activity is available only in-person. It cannot be booked as a virtual program.

In-person Session Information
  • Session times are Tuesday - Friday, 10 - 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 - 2 p.m.
  • Activities are pre-selected based on grade level
  • Up to two classes per session, maximum 30 students/class
