_Women in Concert_ at Brookhaven Lab Features Three Popular Singers, April 16

Upton, NY - A three-hour concert featuring three popular female singers - Yvette-Malavet-Blum, Robin Greenstein, and Cathy Kreger - will be held at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory on Friday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by the BNL Music Club, the concert will be open to the public. All visitors to the Laboratory age 16 and over must bring a photo ID.

Yvette-Malavet-Blum will host "Women in Concert," and perform "A Tribute to My Favorite Female Singers." Malavet-Blum, a Brookhaven Lab employee, is also a popular cabaret singer who has performed in Manhattan and Long Island.

Robin Greenstein is a singer-songwriter from New York City whose music is a mix of folk, pop, rock and blues. Greenstein's songs have been recorded on Fast Folk and Atlantic Records. She had been a writer for Bob Dylan's publishing company, and she has performed her music, which she calls "Acousticness," in over 43 states and several countries, including Mexico, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland. A Long Island native, Greenstein graduated from Stony Brook University, where she studied classical guitar.

Cathy Kreger - singer, songwriter and guitarist - has been performing her unique combination of adult contemporary music, old blues and alternative rock for 18 years. She has acquired a devoted fan base throughout the Northeast, especially Connecticut, New York and Long Island.

Tickets for the concert cost $12 each and may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Brookhaven Employees Recreation Association Sales Office on weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call (631) 344-3846.
