Contemporary Folk Singer James O_Malley in Concert at Brookhaven Lab, June 5

Upton, NY — Contemporary folk singer and songwriter James O_Malley will give a concert in Berkner Hall at the U.S. Department of Energy_s Brookhaven National Laboratory on Saturday, June 5, at 8 p.m. to debut his second CD, titled "If Only In My Dreams." Sponsored by the BNL Music Club, the concert is open to the public. All visitors to the Laboratory age 16 and over must bring a photo ID.

O_Malley has performed at such notable venues as The Brokerage, The Red Cedar Soundstage, Carnegie Recital Hall, and New York City_s Town Hall. He has also performed on radio stations WUSB and WBLI and on the college coffeehouse circuit around the nation. O_Malley_s musical influences range from Tim Hardin, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell to the Beatles, James Brown and Elvis, and he characterizes his music as contemporary folk. Previously a stained glass craftsman, O_Malley is currently a rigging supervisor at Brookhaven Lab.

Tickets for the concert are $12 each when purchased in advance, and $15 at the door.
