Brookhaven Lab_s Small Business Fair is the Biggest Ever

Upton, NY - A record 300 attendees packed a recent Small Business Fair at the U.S. Department of Energy_s (DOE) Brookhaven National Laboratory. Sponsored by Brookhaven Lab in collaboration with the Brookhaven Town Small Business Advisory Council, DOE, the Small Business Development Center at Brookhaven Lab, Farmingdale University and Stony Brook University, the fair offered an opportunity for small business personnel to network with buyers from large businesses to understand their needs, with the goal of winning contracts. This year_s fair was the ninth biannual fair held at the Lab.

"The event was a great success," said Jill Clough-Johnston, Brookhaven Lab_s Small Business Liaison Officer. "Brookhaven Lab awarded about $30,000 worth of orders to small businesses right at the fair."
