Back for a fourth year at Brookhaven, the Kerry Kearney Band brings down the house with their unique, high-energy sound. Founded in 1995, Kearney's electric band features his playing the slide guitar, Eileen "Little Steamroller" Murphy on drums, Frank Celenza on bass, and Tony Campo on keyboard. The band played numerous shows with the Allman Brothers in 2000 and toured nationally with the Dickey Betts Band in 2001. It has been featured in many local clubs and has also headlined in several music festivals, including the Riverhead Blues Festival.

The Kane Daily Band brings a mix of blues-oriented classic rock'n'roll and Delta and Chicago-oriented blues to their act. As a former member of the band Rooster, Daily helped the group win the 1997 Long Island Music Festival Award. Besides Daily on slide guitar, the Kane Daily Band features bassist George Ellert and drummer Kenny Roseboom.

A guitar player for over 30 years, Dee Harris had the opportunity at an early age to study slide guitar with the late Tom Pomposello, a close friend and playing partner of the legendary Mississippi Fred McDowell. Harris plays in local clubs, and most recently could be heard at The Barefoot Peddler in Greenvale and the Cherrywood Café in Wantagh.

Tickets for the concert cost $15 each. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance from ticketweb.com. Advance purchase is recommended because "The Gathering of the Slides" concerts have been sold out in the past.
