Roebling Ensemble to Give a Concert at Brookhaven Lab, April 12

UPTON, NY - Roebling Ensemble, a piano quartet, will give a concert at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory on Wednesday, April 12, at noon in Berkner Hall. Sponsored by Brookhaven Science Associates, the company that manages Brookhaven Lab, the concert is free and open to the public. All visitors to the Laboratory age 16 and over must bring a photo ID.
Members of the Roebling Ensemble studied together at the Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music and have performed a combined thirteen summers at the Marlboro Music Festival. The group's members include Rieko Aizawa, a pianist in the Amelia Piano Trio and an acclaimed soloist; violinist Jesse Mills, soloist, classical performer, improvisational artist, and composer; violist Melissa Reardon, soloist, chamber musician, and founding member of the East Coast Chamber Orchestra; and cellist Raman Ramakrishnan, a Bellport High School graduate who founded the Daedalus Quartet, with whom he tours internationally. The ensemble will play music by Mozart and Brahms.
