Image from “Glass Menagerie” (first displayed at the U.S. Library of Congress) represents some of the most impactful data from Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Center for Functional Nanomaterials and National Synchrotron Light Source II. The octahedron, fabricated from DNA through folding, is part of foundational research being performed to develop a new platform for nanomaterial assembly by design for optical and biocatalytic applications, and a targeted anticancer drug delivery system (in collaboration with Stanford University).
