2026 Summer Science Explorations: STEM Program for Grades 7-12 | Brookhaven Lab

Brookhaven National Laboratory invites students in grades 7–12 to join our Summer Science Explorations, a hands-on STEM summer program in New York. Designed for middle school and high school students, this program introduces participants to real-world scientific research in a fun and engaging environment. During the program, students will meet world-class scientists, tour Brookhaven's cutting-edge research facilities, and take part in interactive science activities.

From physics and chemistry to biology and engineering, participants will explore how science is used to solve real-world problems. Summer Science Explorations is ideal for students interested in STEM careers or curious about how science works beyond the classroom. The program encourages exploration, critical thinking, and discovery through direct exposure to working scientists and advanced technology.

All participants must complete a registration form in order to attend.

Brookhaven Lab enforces nationwide identification requirements for federal site access. Anyone 18 years of age and older must have a valid REAL ID, Enhanced ID, Passport or one of these alternate forms of ID to gain access to the Laboratory. Age Exception
