Expertise
40 years of particle accelerator equipment experience in the Collider Accelerator Department at BNL.
This includes the design, development, and installation of vacuum, magnet, and instrumentation systems for all of the accelerators in the RHIC complex.
Joseph was the mechanical engineering lead for the Spallation Neutron Source project responsible for the accumulator ring and beam transfer lines. Recently, he has been the project engineer for the Coherent electron Cooling proof of principle project, the Low Energy RHIC electron Cooling project, and the L2 lead for the CBETA ring magnet program. Joseph is presently the Head of the EIC Technical Systems Divison and the L2 Lead for Accelerator Support Systems for the project.
