The Strategic Partnerships Program at Brookhaven recently hosted the fourth entrepreneurial workshop with funds awarded by DOE’s Office of Technology Transitions.  The workshop was designed to equip researchers with screening tools necessary to identify product opportunities in their ongoing research.  Participants working in teams applied what they learned at the workshop to five research ideas brought in by fellow participants.  Five of the workshop participants in the follow-on guided pitch development and customer discovery module of the entrepreneurial program developed pitch decks for two of the ideas and participated in a Brookhaven Lab pitch event, judged by the alumni of the previous entrepreneurial workshop.  Chang-Yong Nam, scientist at the Center for Functional Nanomaterials, will represent Brookhaven and speak about his novel hybrid resist process technology for Extreme UV lithography at the National Lab Accelerator Pitch Event to be held on September 29, 2021.  Chan-Yong Nam and Mohammed Boukhicha were recommended to receive technology maturation funds of $50,000 and $40,000, respectively, to further mature their respective technologies.
