Eligibility and Application Process

The Amalie Emmy Noether Fellowship in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing provides full support for a period of two years.

Eligibility

Candidates must have received a doctorate (Ph.D.) in applied mathematics or a related field (e.g., mathematics, physics, engineering, statistics, operations research, or computer science) within the past five years. U.S. citizenship is not a requirement for this position.

Application

All applications must be submitted via the Brookhaven Lab Career Portal. However, the following materials will assist preparing in your application.

  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Letters of Recommendation (3). Letters must be submitted directly by the candidate’s doctoral advisor and other researchers (e.g., mathematicians or scientists) who know and can vouch for the candidate’s research. Deadline for Letters of Recommendation will be relayed to candidate(s) chosen to proceed to the interview stages.
  • Proposed Statement of Research (up to two pages). Statement of Research will be finalized and submitted after candidate(s) completes the initial interview stage.
