The mission of the Emergency Management Program at Brookhaven National Laboratory is provide the framework for development, coordination, control, and direction of all emergency planning, preparedness, readiness assurance, response, and recovery actions.

To accomplish this, Emergency Management will establish requirements for comprehensive planning, preparedness, response, and recovery activities of the emergency management programs and effectively integrate planning, preparedness, response, and recovery activities for a comprehensive, all-emergency management concept.
