LoopFest III: Invitation
Dear Colleague,
We are pleased to invite you to:
LoopFest III
Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, NY
April 1-3, 2004
LoopFest III is sponsored by the American Linear Collider Physics Working Group on higher-order calculations at a future linear e+e- Collider and co-sponsored by BNL, KITP and SLAC. The LoopFest aims to provide a forum to coordinate activities focussed on the theoretical challenges resulting from the ultra-high experimental precision of a future LC.
Topics
- Precision measurements of properties of non-standard particles at a future LC:
- Status of theoretical predictions for cross sections, e.g. SUSY @ NLO
- Precision tests of the SM (e.g., GigaZ, WW, tt):
- Prospects for precise measurements of top, W-boson and Higgs-boson masses, and SM couplings, studies of theoretical uncertainties
- Status of multi-loop calculations:
- Master integrals, automization, interface to and implementation in Monte Carlo programs
Format
2 1/2 days of plenary talks. The LoopFest III concludes the Collider Physics workshop at the KITP.
Your expertise is extremely important to meet the theoretical challenges posed by the expected experimental precision at a future LC. We hope you will be able to attend and are looking forward to your reply.
Please let us know asap if you are interested in participating by e-mailing to one of the organizers. Please also indicate in your e-mail if you would like to give a brief presentation. We also would like to hear about any suggestion you may have in order to make the LoopFest III a success.
Information about hotels and transportation to the KITP can be found at www.kitp.ucsb.edu/visitors/info/. We will charge a fee of $40 to pay for a wine and cheese reception on Wednesday evening and coffee breaks during the meeting. To register for the meeting and to pay the registration fee, please go to www.kitp.ucsb.edu/activities/loopfest3_04/?id=304. We will organize trips to off-campus restaurants for dinner on Thursday and Friday evenings.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the LoopFest III.
