Two Rock Bands - Brother Peach and Street Survivors - to Perform at Brookhaven Lab, January 24

Upton, NY - Two rock groups - Brother Peach and Street Survivors - will perform in a concert called "A Southern Thaw" at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory on Saturday, January 24, at 8 p.m. in Berkner Hall. The concert is open to the public. All visitors to the Laboratory age 16 and older must bring a photo ID.
Brother Peach will perform the best of the famous rock band with southern roots, the Allman Brothers. The local group has performed at numerous Long Island venues, including the Funky Monkey and Calico Jack's in Oceanside, the Village Pub South and Molly Bloom's in Amityville, the Fire Island Grill in Oakdale, and the Hairy Lemon in Selden. Recently, they performed with the classic rock cover band, Roadhouse.
The Street Survivors will play the best of the southern rock group, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Like Brother Peach, the Street Survivors have performed at the Funky Monkey in Oceanside, and they have also played at such venues as CPI in Hampton Bays, Cashmere's in Shirley, the Village Pub in Port Jefferson, and the Maples in Manorville.
Tickets for the concert are $10 each if purchased in advance, or $20 each at the door. Tickets may be purchased at the Brookhaven Employees Recreation Association sales office at the Laboratory's Berkner Hall, on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Bluepoint Brewery, or ordered from Act 1 Entertainment, at 631 758-0324.
