Hooch & The Bluesicians in Concert at Brookhaven Lab, February 12

UPTON, NY - Hooch & The Bluesicians will appear in concert at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory on Saturday, February 12, at 8 p.m. in Berkner Hall. Sponsored by the BNL Music Club, the concert, starring Bob "Hoochie Coochie" Paolucci, is open to the public. All visitors to the Laboratory age 16 and over must bring a photo ID.

Bob Paolucci
A New Jersey native, musician/songwriter Bob Paolucci has been playing the harmonica and the guitar and singing for over 30 years. He is a mostly self-taught musician, although he has studied with the country/folk blues great Sonny Terry and Harry Feldman of The Harmonica Rascals. Paolucci has toured with guitar legends Son Seals and Louisiana Red, and he has shared the stage with performers like Big Bill Morganfield, Johnny Johnson, Shimika Copeland, Koko Taylor, Jimmy Vivino & The Conan O'Brian Band, and Todd Wolfe.
Paolucci's varied musical styles include Chicago and Delta blues, country rock, country western, reggae and jazz. In 2004, with the help of Frank "Of the Future" Otte, Richard Thiel, and Eddie "The Hat" D'Alessio, Hooch and the Bluesicians won the Long Island Blues Society's International Blues Challenge to Memphis. The band also released its new CD named "Fly Right" last year.
Tickets for the show cost $10 each if purchased in advance, and $15 each if purchased at the door on the evening of the performance. Advance tickets may be purchased at the Brookhaven Employees Recreation Association (BERA) Sales Office on weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The BERA Sales Office may be reached at (631) 344-3347.
