UPTON, NY — The blues/rock band Great Caesar's Ghost will give a concert in Berkner Hall at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory on Saturday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m. Acoustic blues guitarist Little Toby Walker will open the show. Both the band and Walker have appeared in concert at Brookhaven within the last year and are back by popular demand. Sponsored by the BNL Music Club, the concert is open to the public. All visitors to the Laboratory age 16 and over must bring a photo ID.
Great Caesar's Ghost is a seven-piece band that plays an authentic blend of Allman Brothers and Grateful Dead music, up-tempo blues, and material from the early '70s. Their music captures the spirit of bluesy rock with the sounds of their guitars, Hammond organ, and dual drum kits. Formed in 2003, the Long Island-based band has played at numerous local venues, including the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett.

Winner of the prestigious 2002 Memphis International Blues Challenge Award, Little Toby Walker is a gifted guitarist, singer, songwriter and storyteller whose music draws from traditional and contemporary blues, western swing, and ragtime. Walker plays a 1930 steel guitar and peppers his musical performance with humorous commentary.
Tickets for the show cost $20 each, and they may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Brookhaven Employees Recreation Association Sales Office on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or through www.ticketweb.com.
