NSRL User Training

To work at experiments at the NASA Space Radiation Laboratory (NSRL) or the experimental area in Building 912, you need Radiation Worker 1 Qualification and NSRL Users Training. Both Radiation Worker 1 qualification and NSRL Users Training qualification last 2 years.​​​​​​​

First time taking Rad Worker I Training?

If you are taking Rad Worker 1 Training for the first time, there are two options.

  1. Register and complete a full day classroom training. A class schedule is available located on the Compliance Course Calendar  (Pre-registration is required).
  2. Complete online course Rad Worker I Intro - (Part 1 Web Course), TQ-RW1-PART1. Then register and complete a half day classroom training. A class schedule is available located on the Compliance Course Calendar (Pre-registration is required).

Rad Worker I Training Expired?

If you are re-qualifying for Rad Worker 1, a challenge exam option is available. Prior to taking the training, please review the Study Guide (PDF). Take RadWorker 1 Challenge Exam (HP-RWT-150CB). Note: the challenge exam is for re-qualification only.
