Delivering environmental programs that protect natural resources, ensure compliance, preserve history, and support the Laboratory's mission
The Environmental Protection Division (EPD) develops and delivers environmental products and services for all Brookhaven Lab stakeholders, including federal, state and local regulators, the public, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and internal customers.
Site Environmental Reports
Each year, Brookhaven National Laboratory prepares an annual Site Environmental Report (SER) in accordance with DOE Order 231.1B, Environment, Safety and Health Reporting of the DOE.
Upton Ecological Reserve
Ten percent of the Brookhaven National Laboratory site is permanently set aside for the purposes of conservation and ecological research.
The Environmental Protection Division is part of Brookhaven National Laboratory's Environment, Safety, and Health Directorate.
