Motivation

The Science and Engineering Development Program (SEDP) is excited to announce the fifth BNL2 (Building Networks & Leaders at Brookhaven National Laboratory) Summit at Stony Brook University. This one-day event is a result of the 2021 SEDP project team proposals to increase inter-directorate collaboration, build networks, meet new people, and increase interactivities, as well as have a greater shared understanding of research happening at Brookhaven Lab.

The theme of this year's event is "Leading Innovation Together" where we will explore how innovation happens in practice across the laboratory. Participants will examine how a questioning mindset, collaboration across disciplines, and continuous improvement contribute to scientific discoveries and operational excellence. This summit aims to empower early-career staff to take initiative, think creatively about challenges, and contribute to a culture of innovation and community service that advances BNL’s mission.
