Scientists recently demonstrated the trapping of argon atoms in two-dimensional aluminosilicate and silicate frameworks through ambient-pressure x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy with a CFN instrument located at NSLS-II, and infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy at CFN and in Brookhaven's Chemistry Department.
