The Charles B. Wang Center at Stony Brook is in the center of the campus. The campus can be reached by car from the Long Island Expressway (LIE, Exit 62, going north on CR 97 to the main entrance of the Campus - about 20 minutes from the LIE). A parking garage is available immediately after the entrance and the Charles B. Wang Center is directly adjacent to it. To find the campus via GPS, enter the address "100 Nicolls Road, Stony Brook, NY 11794."

If you come by railroad from New York City, take the Long Island Railroad's Port Jefferson line from Penn Station to the Stony Brook Station, which is located at the edge of campus. From there walk 5 minutes to the Charles B. Wang Center. Schedule and fare information.

IXS2019 Poster Session

Four poster prizes, sponsored by American Physical Society, will be awarded to participants presenting a poster at the conference. All posters are eligible and will be judged by a panel appointed by the conference committees.

Preference will be given to young scientists. Prize winners will be announced at the meeting with a formal photo presentation and will be given the opportunity for a 15-min oral presentation of their poster at the conference.

Poster Size
Posters should be no larger than 3 feet wide by 4 feet high, using PORTRAIT orientation. DO NOT EXCEED THIS SIZE. Easels cannot accommodate larger sizes or landscape orientation. The poster must be contained on one sheet of paper or poster board.

Poster Preparation
All illustrations, charts, and text materials to be posted must be prepared in advance of the meeting. Duplicating and graphic arts facilities will not be available during the meeting.

Poster Setup
All posters must be setup before 12:00 p.m. noon on Monday, June 24. A supply of push pins and Velcro will be available in the poster set-up area. Poster boards will also be available.

Poster Session
The Poster Sessions will be held on Monday and Tuesday, immediately following the 12:25 p.m. scheduled lunch in the Theater Lobby, which is located in close proximity to the vendor exhibit. Judging of the posters will take place during the Poster Session. Presenting authors must be present during this time.

Conference Events

Registered participants are invited to attend the welcome reception, conference dinner, NSLS II facility tour, and excursion.

Participants should check if they require a visa to enter the United States on the U.S. Department of State's U.S. Visas website.

Foreign travelers, who are citizens from certain eligible countries, may also be able to visit the U.S. for business (e.g. attend a scientific conference) or tourism for 90 days or less without a visa if they meet the Visa Waiver Program requirements. All eligible travelers who wish to travel under the Visa Waiver Program must apply for authorization on-line through ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization).
