Electron-Ion Collider Accelerator Design

The design of the electron-ion collider is under development at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL).

Two designs are being developed:

  • eRHIC:    High energy electron-ion collider.
  • MeRHIC: Medium energy EIC at BNL. It is considered as a first stage for future higher energy eRHIC.
