Collider-Accelerator Access Training
To work at the accelerators, Rad Worker 1 Qualification, Collider-Accelerator (C-A) Access Training and Oxygen Deficiency Hazard (ODH) Training is required.
See the C-A Access Training Guide for staff (PDF). This guide should be studied by C-A staff or staff from other Brookhaven Lab organizations assigned to work at C-A facilities. This particular guide is not intended for users/experimenters at C-A facilities; other training is available.
First time taking C-A Access Training?
The initial C-AD Access Training is web based, please follow this link to take the AD-CA Access Online Training Course. If requested, an in-person classroom course can be arranged by emailing the C-ADTrainingGroup@bnl.gov.
C-A Training Expired?
If you are re-qualifying for C-A Access Training, a challenge exam option is available. Prior to taking the training, please review the C-A Access Training Guide (PDF). Take the online Collider-Accelerator Access Requal/Challenge Exam (AD-CA_ACCESS_EXAM). The challenge exam is for re-qualification only.
First time taking Rad Worker I Training?
If you are taking Rad Worker 1 Training for the first time, there are two options.
- Register and complete a full day classroom training. A class schedule is available located on the Compliance Course Calendar (pre-registration is required).
- Complete an online course Rad Worker I Intro - Part 1 Web Course (TQ-RW1-PART1) . Then register and complete a half-day classroom training. See the class schedule on the Compliance Course Calendar (pre-registration is required).
Rad Worker I Training Expired?
If you are re-qualifying for Rad Worker 1, a challenge exam option is available. Prior to taking the training, review the study guide (PDF). Visit the BTMS Site and locate “Rad Worker 1 Challenge Exam (HP-RWT-150CB)”. The challenge exam is for re-qualification only.
Note: If your Rad Worker Training lapses, your TLD service will be interrupted and you will not automatically receive your next monthly TLD.
