I. Accessing the Assessment Tracking System (ATS)
| 1. | Click on the ATS link above to access the BNL-Wide or NSLS family ATS or click on one of the links within the e-mail message sent by the ATS administrator (see below). |

II. Updating or Closing an ATS Action, Condition, or Assessment

The automated ATS e-mail messages that are sent include three hyperlinks:
Most of the form fields are automatically filled in by the ATS when responding using this method. The "Pre-fill" button must be clicked for the fields to be accepted. The action owner or delegate will still need to enter additional information to complete either of the tasks mentioned above. If desired, a blank form is also available on the ATS home page. |
| 2. | When submitting an "Updated Action" or "Close Action" form, the information is reviewed by the NSLS ATS Administrator and/or responsible individual for the assessment/condition. The NSLS Administrator will update the ATS item when the information submitted is reviewed and accepted. |
III. Create/Submit New Assessments, Conditions, and/or Actions for NSLS Family ATS
| 1. | Complete
the appropriate BNL ATS "Create/Update" forms for an Assessment,
Condition, and each Action. Be certain to select National
Synchrotron Light Source as the assessment family name. The forms are available on the BNL
ATS home page; or
Complete the "NSLS Family ATS Entry Request Form" Note: Contact the NSLS ATS Administrator for assistance with forms, if needed. |
| 2. | If you are not listed as
a owner or delegate for any assessment, condition, or action and would
like to receive reminder or late notifications, complete one of the
following:

| 3. | Submit the completed form(s) to the NSLS ATS Administrator. |
| 1. | Make sure you are logged on to the NSLS or BNL domain. |
| 2. | If logged in properly, verify web browser is configured to the proxy properly. Follow the Auto Proxy instructions located on the ITD Web Proxy Configuration page, for the browser you are using. If you make a change, close your browser, then open again and attempt to access ATS. |
| If the above steps have been
unsuccessful in resolving your access problems to the NSLS family ATS or
if their is any other difficulty with the NSLS Family ATS (e.g. closing or updating an
item), please
contact:
NSLS ATS Administrator x8097 or buckley@bnl.gov In the interim, if you are having difficulty updating or closing an NSLS family ATS item, simply reply to the initial ATS notification and include all relevant information. |
