Aetna Hearing Aid Coverage

The Aetna medical program provides coverage for hearing aids when prescribed during a covered hearing exam. The cost to you is based on the terms of the plan in which you are enrolled and if the provider is part of the Aetna network.

Participating Providers

Aetna offers a choice of two hearing aid providers within the network:

• Amplifon Hearing Health Care provides discounts on hearing aids, follow-up services, and a two-year supply of batteries. Participants who use Amplifon Hearing Health Care will need to pay the total cost of the hearing aids and then file a claim to be reimbursed by Aetna for the amount provided by your coverage. • Hearing Care Solutions provides discounts on hearing aids, follow-up services, and a three-year supply of batteries. Participants who use Hearing Care Solutions will need to pay their portion of the cost and Hearing Care Solutions will bill Aetna directly for the balance.
