The Superconducting Magnet Division designed, constructed and tested dipole magnets for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. Each of the BNL-built dipole magnets was tested at the Lab's magnet measurement facility to ensure that design parameters were met. Extensive measurements were made on properties such as magnetic field, conductor temperature, superconducting coil-stress behavior, and overall magnet performance.
