Lunch service at the Berkner cafeteria is available from The Artisan by Rollin' Ghost, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Tend Coffee is serving coffee, tea, and pastries from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. See details
Micro-marts
24-hour micro-marts with self-purchase, ready-to-eat food and beverage options are located in the lobbies of Building 400, Building 740, and Building 911. Click to see campus map locations.
Catering Service
If you need food catering for a meeting or other on-site event, please contact Food Services at Ext. 3545 to place an outside food order. Please have your BSA account number ready when calling. See details

+Recipients of a “Thanks” Program meal voucher can redeem it at any food truck operating on site. Contact Food Services (x3545) if you have questions or concerns.
Vending Services
Note: Vending machines are filled according to building population reporting to site. Once a building population exceeds 50%, machines in that building be will be serviced – though machines will carry limited stock due to continued high telecommuting rates.
Vending service machines are located in high population areas throughout the site. Available items include snacks and beverages.
Vending Services are provided to the Laboratory through the New York State Commission for the Blind. It is very important that the level of service and the products, meet or exceed customer expectations. Off Site Food
We have gathered a list of local businesses offering delivery and/or pick-up services. Please see the list below and call Food Services to place an order for an event. Individuals or groups can order food to be delivered by external businesses or through apps such as GrubHub or DoorDash.
Here's how it works:
- Individuals place an order through apps or directly from local restaurants.
- If ordering in advance, please submit a Visitor Notification Form for further ease in entering the Lab. This will enable much easier/quicker access into the site.
- Only delivery personnel that are U.S. Citizens and have a gate pass will
be allowed to make the delivery as follows:
- Upon arrival at the Main Gate, the delivery person will be directed to the trailer and asked to present a valid driver's license.
- The driver will get a gate and map.
- The pass will note the destination building, date/time, and person ordering the delivery.
- The driver will be instructed to make the delivery and then leave the site.
- They will be asked to stop at the security booth as
they exit and return the pass.
- Delivery personnel who are NOT U.S. Citizens will be instructed to remain at the main gate area until you can go to the main gate to pick-up your delivery. Delivery personnel that are NOT U.S. Citizens will not be allowed past the main gate area on to the campus.
- Food Services does not provide delivery service of your food order from the main gate to your location.
