Optics Fabrication

The optics fabrication group provide support to NSLS-II beamlines for their needs in optical coatings –thin films and multilayers- and associated metrology thanks to a one-of-a-kind deposition system and thin-film characterization instruments. Activities include research and development efforts in X-ray optics and in particular on nanofocusing optics for hard X-ray with the development of multilayer Laue lenses (MLL).
