X9 SAXS Workbench

April 24 - 27, 2014

Purpose of the Workbench

This is a practical training class for protein solution scattering.  Through this course, you will learn about the basic principles of solution scattering and how to collect solution scattering data at X9.  Therefore you will already have solution scattering experience when you apply for beam time in the future.  You will also be able to collect preliminary data that you could then use to strengthen your beam time proposal.  This workbench is not meant to provide beam time for you to complete a project.  So please be aware the limited time when you plan the number of samples you will bring.

Note:  All participants are required to have a valid BNL guest appointment at the beginning of the workshop. If you do not have a valid appointment with BNL, you will need to register in the
BNL Guest Information System (GIS).

There is no cost for this workbench.

Application Deadline is Friday, April 4, 2014
