Committees and Councils
Brookhaven Lab’s vision is to create and advance an inclusive environment that embraces a diverse workforce, ensuring it is well positioned to attract and retain the talent needed to achieve the DOE Office of Science mission. A workplace that values a diversity of people, ideas, cultures, and educational backgrounds is foundational to delivering on the Brookhaven and Office of Science missions.
Leadership responsibility for developing and implementing strategies and initiatives for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) flows from the Laboratory Director and the Associate Lab Directors, across the remainder of Level 1 and Level 2 management. The Lab has also developed cross-functional DE&I councils and committees throughout its operations to effectively advance DE&I efforts at central and local levels.
